Cookie Policy

How Influencemart uses cookies and similar technologies — what each type does, how long it lasts, and the choices you have.

Last updated: June 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Influencemart ("the Platform", "we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies — such as local storage and tracking pixels — when you visit our website, click an affiliate link, or interact with one of our campaigns. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which describes the personal data we process and the legal bases for doing so. As the operator of this service, Influencemart is responsible for the technologies described below.

What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your browser or device. Cookies let a site remember information between page loads and across visits — for example, that you are signed in, or that you arrived through a particular affiliate link. Similar technologies (local storage, session storage, and tracking pixels) serve comparable purposes and are covered by this policy even where the word "cookie" is used as shorthand. We group the cookies we set into the categories below and explain the role each plays.

Tracking cookies

Tracking cookies record interactions so that activity on our network can be measured and attributed correctly. On an affiliate platform this is essential: when an affiliate refers a visitor to a merchant, a tracking cookie is what connects the later sale back to the affiliate who earned it. We use tracking cookies for the following limited purposes:

  • Click measurement — recording that a link or campaign was clicked, so the event ledger can be reconciled and duplicate clicks ignored.
  • Conversion attribution — connecting a qualifying purchase or sign-up back to the originating affiliate link (see the next section).
  • Fraud and abuse prevention — detecting bot traffic, repeated self-clicks, and other patterns that would otherwise distort commissions.

We do not use tracking cookies to build advertising profiles for third-party ad networks, and we do not sell the data they collect. Their scope is confined to operating the affiliate measurement and integrity functions of the Platform.

Affiliate attribution cookies

Affiliate attribution cookies are the core of how the network works, and they are first-party cookies — set under our own domain, not by an external advertising network. When you click an affiliate link, we generate a unique click identifier and store it so that a later conversion can be matched to the correct affiliate.

  • What is stored — a randomly generated click_id that references a click event in our ledger, together with the timestamp and the campaign or affiliate associated with the click. The click_id is an opaque token; it does not contain your name, email, or payment details.
  • How attribution works — if you complete a qualifying action (such as a purchase) with the merchant within the cookie window, the recorded click_id lets us credit the referring affiliate and calculate the resulting commission.
  • Cookie window — attribution is only honoured for a limited period after the click, known as the cookie (or attribution) window. The exact duration is set per campaign by the merchant and is commonly in the range of a few days to a few weeks; once the window expires, the attribution cookie no longer credits a conversion to that click. The applicable window for a given campaign is shown to affiliates within the dashboard.
  • Last-click basis — where more than one affiliate link is clicked, attribution normally follows the most recent qualifying click, so a newer click_id may overwrite an earlier one within its window.

Because these cookies are first-party and limited to attribution, blocking them is unlikely to break general browsing — but it may prevent the affiliate who referred you from being credited, and may affect promotions that depend on attribution.

Analytics cookies

Analytics cookies help us understand how the public site and dashboards are used in aggregate — which pages and campaigns are popular, where visitors encounter errors, and how performance can be improved. We use this information to operate and refine the service, not to identify you individually.

  • What they measure — aggregated metrics such as page views, referral sources, approximate region, device and browser type, and broad navigation paths.
  • How we minimise impact — wherever practical we rely on aggregated or de-identified measurement and avoid storing data that is not needed to run the Platform.

Analytics cookies are not used to make decisions about commissions or payouts; those determinations rely on the attribution and event records described above.

Session cookies

Session cookies keep the service working while you use it. They are strictly necessary — without them, core functions such as signing in and submitting forms cannot operate.

  • Authentication — keeping you signed in to the affiliate, merchant, or admin area as you move between pages, and signing you out when your session ends.
  • Security — protecting requests against cross-site request forgery and other tampering, and maintaining the integrity of an active session.
  • State — remembering short-lived choices made during a single visit, such as a multi-step form in progress.

Because session cookies are essential to deliver the service you have requested, they cannot be switched off through an in-product preference; declining them at the browser level will prevent you from signing in or completing protected actions.

Cookie duration

How long a cookie persists depends on its purpose. In general:

  • Session cookies are temporary and are cleared when you close your browser or when your authenticated session expires.
  • Affiliate attribution cookies persist only for the campaign's cookie window (commonly a few days to a few weeks) and stop crediting conversions once that window has elapsed.
  • Analytics cookies are persistent but time-limited, retained for a defined period before expiring so we can understand trends over time without keeping data indefinitely.

We do not keep cookie data longer than is necessary for the purpose it was set, and expired cookies are removed by your browser automatically.

Your choices

You have meaningful control over non-essential cookies:

  • Browser controls — every major browser lets you view, block, or delete cookies, and many let you block third-party cookies while keeping first-party ones. Refer to your browser's help pages for instructions.
  • Clearing cookies — deleting cookies removes any stored click_id and analytics identifiers; new ones may be set on your next visit unless you also block them.
  • Do Not Track — we honour reasonable signals where supported, and we keep tracking confined to the operational purposes described here.
  • Effect of blocking — disabling attribution cookies may stop the affiliate who referred you from being credited; disabling strictly necessary session cookies will prevent sign-in and other protected actions.

For details on the personal data behind these technologies, your rights, and how to contact us about them, please see our Privacy Policy.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy as the Platform evolves or as legal requirements change. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated through the site or by email where appropriate. Continued use of the service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
